HYPERDIALECT 2102 – (Follow up to 3-Volume album Ruiner)

HYPERDIALECT 2102 is an album in progress that I am composing as a follow up to the 3-volume mega album ‘Ruiner’. I had already started composing a great deal of material to kickstart the next part of my Project Sacrilege storyline, and so far have over 20 tracks that are going to be split between three seperate volumes.

Set ten years after the events of Ruiner, which had seen the Exultant One rectify the growing issues that artificial intelligence bots had wreaked upon this cyberpunk world, the well known and respected vigilante and his army had found themselves back on their feet, with Klaxon now taking the helm. Most of the army had fallen into a coma after defeating the biggest culprit, who had itself far succeeded the capabilities and threats that SureFire Technologies had imposed on America, and had awakened to see that New York City had luckily remained fully intact. However, a few major changes had happened during the past five years Klaxon and his father had both spent working on their own mental health, and trying desperately to resurrect their crew. Whilst the war was won, it had left them very downtrodden, after everything they had been through in their personal lives, in between each battle.

In 2098, The Exultant One had handed the reigns to his son, Klaxon, seeing as he had himself become emotionally exhausted after the many sacrifices he had made over the course of his time as the leader. Klaxon had willingly accepted the position, whilst the Exultant One had still chosen to remain by his side for the sake of the crew. That same year, California had burnt to a crisp, after a particularly powerful wildfire had engulfed the entire state, and had rendered beyond fighting means altogether. All of its residents had already fled the state into another country years before, so no-one was sorry to see the state had become nothing more than a gargantuan see of cinders and ashes that had stretched for many a mile.

In 2102, Klaxon had successfully revived all of the crew members. His cyberware had improved drastically still; so had his fathers, and every crew member’s cyberware. Their cognitive health had bettered over the course of time Klaxon had been working on rehabilitating himself and his father, and the New Yorkers were no longer worried about artificial intelligence coming over to darken their doors, or destroy any prospect of them continuing with their careers altogether. The same could not be said for the rest of the country, or a significant portion of its allying nation, the Isle Of Cavalera. And now, Klaxon and his army had had another problem to face. The influx of Californians which had fled the state had accused his father and his crew for stirring up the wrath of the worst forms of AI deliberately, despite them doing everything within their power to eliminate the threats themselves. Some of these Californians had even sworn to destroy the very thing that they had before cried out for, much to the chagrin of Klaxon himself, who had grown all the more obstinate, and all the more angry.

He had already been through so much. The last thing he should want was for an entire influx of self-righteous Californians to deliberately jeopardize everything his father had created for the betterment of his kinsfolk who had lived to see them win the wars of 2092. HYPERDIALECT 2102 would see the prodigal mercenary at his most reckless yet…

Kian

Kian is a versatile artist that primarily stays in the heavy metal space, but will venture out on occasion into other genres through his own work, and his collaborations with others. Hailing from Kent, UK, Kian Dray, studied music as part of his university studies. He has a deep love of story telling through melody which can be heard in his Ruiner series of albums. Like many in the indie space, Kian’s music has a distinct personality that causes him to find the commercial side of the industry bland, restrictive, and in 2023 he teamed up with independent record label Abrasive Monologues. Kian is a young man with a heavy soul, and a heavy sound to match. He’s not only talented in one area however, his skills range through composition, arrangement, programming, graphic design and hand drawn art and story telling. Kian, like many indie artists, is a jack of all trades. At only 22 years old, Kian has over 1,000 released works and that library is only growing with each new tale woven into it’s fabric. Maybe one day we’ll get a graphic novel?
